Self and peer reflection is a powerful instructional strategy that helps students take ownership of their learning, develop critical thinking skills, and improve the quality of their work. This presentation will introduce teachers to simple, practical ways to incorporate self and peer reflections into any subject area at any grade level. Participants will learn how to create clear reflection prompts, establish classroom expectations for constructive feedback, and use rubrics and/or guiding questions to help students evaluate their own work and the works of their peers. By implementing structured reflection activities, teachers can help students build metacognitive skills, strengthen collaboration, and develop a deeper understanding of learning goals.
