The Evidence of "Aha!": Capturing Deeper Thinking in Amplify
Wednesday June 3, 2026 10:20am - 11:20am MDT
How do we know when students are truly getting it—beyond just producing the correct answer? As we move toward full implementation of Amplify, this session explores how teachers can recognize and capture the evidence of deep thinking that happens during instruction—not just at the end of it. Participants will briefly explore Amplify’s formative assessment tools, then shift into the heart of the work: making student thinking visible through models, discourse, and strategic questioning. Through real classroom examples, we will highlight how teachers use student work and conversation as powerful informal data sources to guide instruction in the moment. Educators will leave with a clear lens for identifying rigorous thinking and practical strategies for elevating and responding to student thinking every day.

Purposeful Movement Without Chaos: Defining “Look Fors” and Leveraging AI to Support Classroom Practice
Wednesday June 3, 2026 10:20am - 11:20am MDT
This interactive 60-minute workshop supports teachers in integrating purposeful, structured student movement into instruction—without sacrificing clarity, safety, or learning focus. Participants will explore how clearly defined “look fors” (observable student behaviors and conditions) create structure for movement-rich classrooms. Through collaborative scenarios and guided practice, teachers will develop and refine their own look fors for a variety of movement opportunities. The session will be tech "light" with an opportunity to apply the "look for" guidelines within the Magic School AI tools as a support for planning, refining, and adapting movement routines for diverse classroom contexts.

By the end of the session, participants will:
Identify and articulate clear, observable “look fors” for student movement
Practice designing "look fors" across multiple instructional scenarios
Use MagicSchoolAI to generate structured academic tasks refined by teacher determined "look fors"
Establish norms and routines that support safe, efficient movement

From Struggle to Strength: Helping Students Do the Heavy Lifting with Amplify Desmos Math Tasks
Wednesday June 3, 2026 1:45pm - 3:00pm MDT
In a weight room, the best spotters know exactly when to step in and when to let the athlete do the work. Teaching with Amplify is no different! As we prepare for full implementation next year, join us to explore the "heavy lifting" students need to do to truly grow. We’ll bridge the gap between the pedagogical research (the "why") and real-world classroom evidence of students building confidence by tackling challenges head-on (the "how"). You’ll leave with a clear map for moving from "helper" to "facilitator" and strategies to help your students take ownership of their own learning journey.

Scrible
Wednesday June 3, 2026 1:45pm - 3:00pm MDT
This session will introduce teachers to the Scribble creative writing platform and demonstrate how it can be used in K–12 classrooms to increase student engagement and creativity in writing. Scribble allows students to create their own stories using guided prompts and interactive tools, helping them build vocabulary, strengthen grammar skills, and develop confidence as writers. As students write, their ideas can come to life through visuals and storytelling features, making the writing process more engaging and meaningful. We will also focus on the research aspect of the program and go over the components. Participants will learn practical ways to integrate Scribble into literacy lessons, small group activities, and whole-class instruction to support creative expression and language development across grade levels.
