About me
BJ Weller, M.Ed, LCSW, is the Assistant Director of Student Wellness Services in Canyons School District. He began his career as a school social worker and counselor in Granite School District, where he helped design their K–12 school counseling model. He later served as an administrator at both the middle and elementary levels in Canyons.
In 2017, BJ was hired to create the district’s Responsive Services department, now known as Student Wellness Services, with the mission to ensure each student is safe, healthy, and ready to learn. His work focuses on integrating mental health supports within PBIS and MTSS frameworks, and he oversees a team that supports restorative practices, trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and crisis response.
